WASHINGTON, D.C.—This week, Congresswoman Maxine Dexter took to MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show to share what she heard from the 1,200+ Oregonians who packed her first solo town hall in Gresham.

“Our democracy is sick. I am a critical care physician, and my job for 20 years has been to look at a patient and say, sick or not sick. This is a democracy that is sick. And certainly, what you don't do when someone's sick is sit back and say, they might get better. They might get worse. You intervene, you take action, you do something.” Congresswoman Dexter said on The Rachel Maddow Show.
