Representative Maxine Dexter believes that safe, abundant, affordable housing is the bedrock of healthy, thriving communities. In Oregon, the harsh reality is that housing is out of reach for too many.  This stark truth demands decisive action from all levels of government. 

As Chair of the House Housing and Homelessness Committee in the Oregon State Legislature, Dexter led the fight to pass a groundbreaking, multi-billion-dollar bill to address the housing and homelessness crisis. Now, she is committed to ensuring Congress does its part to invest in housing and homelessness programs.
