Wildfire Resources

Oregonians know all too well how deadly wildfires can wreak havoc on our communities. As a lung and critical care physician, Congresswoman Maxine Dexter has seen firsthand how the climate crisis and poor air quality can detrimentally impact our health and well-being.

As Oregon moves into wildfire season, everyone must do their part to be prepared for potential emergencies. According to a June 2025 report from the National Interagency Fire Center, the Pacific Northwest is anticipated to have “above normal significant fire potential.”

Below is a list of government resources to help Oregonians prepare, stay safe, and recover from this wildfire season.

FEDERAL RESOURCES

STATE RESOURCES

COUNTY RESOURCES

If you need help locating an emergency shelter, call 2-1-1 or visit 211info.org or visit your local county website. Usually, counties are in charge of mass sheltering. The Red Cross may assist depending on the size of the emergency.
