$1 million and counting

Blog Post

As 2025 comes to a close, I hope you're able to find moments of rest, reflection, and connection with loved ones.

When I was sworn into Congress, I made it my mission to provide the best constituent services possible for our community. I’m proud to share that my office has helped return over $1 million to Oregonians owed to them by the federal government this year.

Whether it’s a delayed tax refund, stalled veterans’ benefits, or a missing Social Security payment, my casework team has worked tirelessly to cut through red tape and get our community the answers and outcomes it deserves.

If you or someone you know is struggling to get help from a federal agency, we can help. Here’s just some of what we can help with:

VETERANS’ BENEFITS

  • Assist active-duty service members, veterans and survivors in recovering benefits, pensions, payments, discharge papers and more.

INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE (IRS)

  • Facilitate communication with the IRS to assist in refunds, amending tax filings and other individual IRS issues.

SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE

  • Provide case updates, check the status of disability claims, and help with other Social Security and Medicare matters.

IMMIGRATION AND NATURALIZATION

  • Help expedite qualifying urgent cases, assist with embassy appointments, and track pending petitions.
  • Conduct oversight and request information for individuals detained in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities.

No one should have to navigate federal bureaucracy alone. Visit Dexter.House.Gov/Services/Help-Federal-Agency to find the Privacy Release Form, the first step for our office to assist or call (503) 231-2300.

I’m honored to fight for you and our communities in Congress.

Be well,
