A betrayal of working families
House Republicans have unveiled the details of their budget plan that will make Americans sicker, hungrier, and poorer. Let me be clear: this budget is a betrayal of working families. It will cause millions of Americans to lose their healthcare coverage, threaten our public lands, and cut vital food assistance for our most vulnerable-all to fund massive tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations.
House Democrats are fighting with every single tool at our disposal to protect our communities and safeguard our values. That includes in congressional committees, where we are using every legislative maneuver available to stop these devastating policies.
