Dexter Announces Federal Investment in Reed College

PORTLAND, OR — Today, Congresswoman Maxine Dexter, M.D. (OR-03) announced that the National Science Foundation awarded Reed College a $145,557 research grant. The funding will support Computer Science Department Professor Greg Anderson’s work to improve the safety of advanced computing systems.

“Our communities are leading the way on the cutting-edge research necessary to build a thriving 21st century economy. The National Science Foundation’s investment in Reed College will advance the scientific breakthroughs of tomorrow,” said Congresswoman Dexter, M.D. 

“Reed College is thrilled to be awarded this funding. Reed faculty members such as Greg Anderson have been fortunate to receive financial support from the NSF to conduct important research that contributes to deeper understanding and new knowledge across various scientific fields,”said Kathy Oleson, Reed College dean of the faculty and Patricia and Clifford Lunneborg Professor of Psychology.
