ICYMI: Dexter, Rayfield Host Tele-Town Hall, Nearly 10,000 Oregonians Joined
PORTLAND, OR — Last night, Congresswoman Maxine Dexter, M.D. (OR-03) and Attorney General Dan Rayfield hosted an hour-long tele-town hall focused on safeguarding Oregon’s values and fighting back against Trump’s assault on our democracy. Nearly 10,000 people joined. A majority of listeners cited defending democracy as their top concern when polled on the most pressing issue facing our country.
“Oregon has always been a leader in standing up for what’s right—whether it’s defending our democracy, protecting our environment, fighting for workers, or ensuring every person has access to healthcare and fundamental rights. We will not allow Trump to take us backward. We are using every tool at our disposal to push back. By far our greatest tool is public pressure. Oregonians must stay loud,” said Congresswoman Maxine Dexter
“Elon Musk may be the richest man in the world, but the law is clear: he has no authority to access your private information. The Constitution gives Congress – not the President – primary control over federal spending. As your attorney general we're going to use every legal tool at our disposal to protect communities, our values, Oregon's future,” said Attorney General Dan Rayfield.
