Oregonians know all too well how deadly wildfires can wreak havoc on our communities. As a lung and critical care physician, Congresswoman Maxine Dexter has seen firsthand how the climate crisis and poor air quality can detrimentally impact our health and well-being.

Congresswoman Maxine Dexter’s Youth Advisory Council will give students in Ore


Every year, middle and high school students across the country are invited to create a unique app on a platform of their choice as part of the Congressional App Challenge. This challenge highlights the value of computer science and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education. Students of all skill levels are encouraged to participate, and 35% of challenge participants in 2022 even described themselves as coding beginners!

Each spring, a nation-wide high school arts competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in our Congressional District.


Request tickets and tours for various Washington D.C. destinations. All tickets are provided to constituents on a first-come, first-served basis so request tickets early.

Congresswoman Dexter's office is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals for her Internship Program in Washington, DC and Portland, OR. This opportunity provides a hands-on learning experience in a congressional office on Capitol Hill.
