Last week—in the dead of night—House Republicans passed a bill enacting the largest cut to Medicaid and food assistance in American history. House Democrats fought back, offering over 500 amendments and dragging a hearing on the legislation into the daylight.

The good news? It still has to pass the Senate and come back to the House for a vote. Now is the time to keep the pressure up.
